ECBE's mission is to encourage and support continuous improvement in the quality of Business Education. This is directed towards all learners in the global market place: academic institutions, faculties and departments, employers and employees.

To translate "Excellence in Business Education" into reality for learners, ECBE commits to supporting member institutions in preparing students to operate effectively in an ever-increasing competitive market; encouraging and sustaining excellence; striving for innovation in teaching and learning outcomes; meeting the challenges of Bologna and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA); developing linkages between Business Education providers and Industry and Commerce; and forming strategic alliances with organisations worldwide with similar objectives.

 

ECBE is an affiliate of the European Association of Quality Assurance for Higher Education (ENQA), which recognises ECBE as a bona fide quality assurance agency and a network of higher education institutions and agencies.

 

 

European Council for Business Education

Our purpose is to support excellence in business education by actively encouraging experimentation and profoundly superior levels of teaching. In addition we provide an interactive forum, which addresses the educational challenges inherent in relationships between governments, business, industry and academia.

ECBE and Europe

Through its accreditation programmes ECBE ensures that accredited members meet the requirements of the EHEA as recommended by the European Commission following the Bologna Declaration. Beyond these requirements, emphasis is placed on the needs of students in the learning process. Outputs in terms of both knowledge and skills are evaluated and awarded credits at various learning levels, conforming to the European Quality Framework (EQF) guidelines.

By providing services for education worldwide, ECBE aims to improve the quality of Business Education.
